McSweeney's Quarterly Concern: Issue 8

Beautiful, hardbound, and smelling of freshly pressed literature.

McSweeney's Quarterly Concern: Issue 8McSweeney's Quarterly Concern Issue 8 has arrived. I ordered it directly from McSweeney's and it arrived yesterday; beautiful, hardbound, and smelling of freshly pressed literature.

The graphic of the bird in flight is raised from the smooth face of the book, and the black binding is clothbound with a partial graphic of the same bird in white. The back cover is the same shade of red as the bird on the front and is embossed with dozens of white miniature bird-in-flight icons and the issue credits. The typesetting is identical to the newest issue (Issue 12), and the copyright notes are, as usual, a pleasure. It has joined my growing pile of great books to read.
