There is a fiction writing contest in the Chico News & Review with a specification of exactly 59 words. There are very specific rules on what counts as a word and what does not. "New-Age Fiction" counts as three words. "Re-write" counts as one. "F.D.R." counts as three. "NASA" counts as one. I think I'll enter.
